Our Unique 100% Bamboo Duvet
We have travelled far and wide to develop our 100% Bamboo Duvet. This unique design is made entirely from bamboo fabric. Usually, manufacturers of bamboo duvets blend with other materials, such as cotton or microfibre, ruining the idea of owning a sustainable and environmentally friendly product. However, our bamboo duvet is compostable after it is no longer needed. So join us to help create a greener future.
Our Bamboo
All the Bamboo we use in our fabrics is naturally and organically grown without pesticides and fertilisers and is produced to OEKO-TEX® Standard 100. This is an independent testing and certification system for textile raw materials, intermediates, and finished products at all production stages.
We adore Bamboo because it is naturally breathable and three times more absorbent than cotton. Furthermore, it is anti-bacterial, anti-microbial, and hypoallergenic. This means it won't grow harmful micro-organisms and will repel dust mites and bedbugs, which benefits your baby's sleep.
Temperature Regulating Benefits
Bamboo is naturally temperature regulating due to its natural micro gaps. These micro gaps hold cool air close to your skin, making a cool layer perfect for those summer nights. During the winter, however, it is densely insulated.
As a result, you will stay warm without your body sweating as you might with cotton or other sheets. In addition, you'll be happy to learn that bamboo bedding is exceptionally breathable. So you don't have to worry about overheating.
Moisture & Odour Wicking Properties
The fibres in Bamboo are primarily composed of plant cellulose, which naturally absorbs moisture. As a result, Bamboo sheets make the perfect bedding. In addition, the natural bamboo fibres soak up sweat, which prevents it from remaining on the skin for an extended period.
One of Bamboo's best features is that it releases moisture onto the fabric's surface, where it will evaporate. The humidity draws away from your skin, keeping you cool and comfortable and allowing it to evaporate, keeping your clothes and bedding dry.
As a result, it eliminates odours caused by sweat. It is an ideal solution for the many people who suffer from night sweats. Bamboo also offers relief to many women that suffer from menopausal symptoms.

Duvet covers, sheets & pillowcases
Use a non-biological detergent that does not contain optical brighteners, bleaching agents or enzymes.
- Do not use fabric conditioner. There is no need and it can reduce the breathability and absorbency.
- Cold or cool wash on a gentle cycle.
- Close duvet cover zips before washing.
- If washed at high temperatures shrinkage will occur.
- With modern detergents there is no need to wash at high temperatures, and cool washing saves energy, and money.
- Do not soak.
- Do not use bleach – it is harmful to the environment too.
- Line dry.
- Can be tumble dried or ironed but only on a cool setting.
- If excessive heat during washing or tumble drying is used excessive ‘pilling’ may occur.
- Bamboo, being a 100% natural product, is extremely absorbent and wicks away up to 40% more moisture than cotton does from the skin, therefore it will absorb any face creams or hair products etc. which may result in temporary discolouration which should go when washed. Washing at a higher temperature, with the help of a stain remover is recommended in this case.

What Is Fabric Pilling?
Fabric pilling is the term for loose strands or balls of fibre that form on a piece of fabric. You’ve probably noticed these little bits of fabric on pillows, rugs, and furniture in your home.
Pilling is a common occurrence in most households. It’s not a fabric defect or fault from the manufacturer.
What Causes Fabric Pilling?
When fabric fibres become loose, they move around when we sit or brush up against them. The friction from people rubbing up against the fabric causes loose fibres to twist together into small balls.
Your washing machine also causes friction. This is why you’ll see fabric pills on towels, t-shirts, and sweaters as well as your bedding.
Pilling is completely normal and will go away once the excess loose fibres are gone. It doesn’t affect the durability or functionality of the fabric.
