Bamboo bedding set (4 piece)

Organic, breathable bedding

Our Bamboo Bedding Set is soft and sumptuous. The set comprises a fitted sheet, duvet cover and 2 pillowcases, in a choice of 9 beautiful colours and 5 popular sizes.

Bamboo bedding is soft to the touch, it has a smooth silky feel, is machine washable and quick to dry. The duvet cover is zipped on one side to make getting the duvet inside the cover just a little bit easier and the fitted sheet has really deep sides and is elasticated all round to ensure a great fit.

A pair of pillowcases finishes off the Bamboo Bedding Set, but you can of course add a mattress protector or duvet, both made from 100% bamboo or our unique 3D hollow fibre filled bamboo pillows to complete your bamboo sleep experience.

Please note: The pillowcases are Housewife Style. ( These are what you might call ‘regular’ pillowcases. They feature a sewn seam that surrounds the pillow. They are simple and beautifully stylish.)

The White Undyed colour option is the natural colour and is almost white.

Pillowcases measure 75x50cms.

Description

Our Bamboo Bedding Set (4 piece) contains a zipped duvet cover, a fitted sheet which is elasticated all round and two pillowcases. The bed sets are made from 100% bamboo and are available in a choice of colours and popular sizes.

Naturally more breathable and more absorbent than cotton and organically grown Paragon Bamboo bedding will help change the way you sleep.

Cotton contributes massively towards harming the health of our planet. The pesticides and fertilisers used erode the soil and are dangerous for the workers.

However, the bamboo used to manufacture our bedding, duvets, mattress protectors and pillows is organically grown, is totally sustainable, is fed purely by natural rainfall and requires no pesticides, insecticides or fertilisers. When you use our bedding, you are helping to create a greener planet.

Our bedding is soft, luxurious, has a silky feel and offers, along with a great night’s sleep, the many natural health benefits of bamboo.

Bamboo bedding helps to regulate the body’s temperature and is three times more absorbent than cotton making it an ideal solution for the many people that suffer with night sweats. It also offers relief to the many women that suffer from menopausal symptoms.

Amongst its many natural health benefits bamboo naturally inhibits bacterial growth which in turn eliminates damp or musty odours and mould growth which are the result of antimicrobial activity. Bamboo repels dust (bed) mites and in addition to its antibacterial properties it is also antimicrobial, hypoallergenic and anti-static.

Bamboo bedding is an excellent option for sufferers of eczema, asthma, skin conditions, many allergies, night sweats and a host of other elements and conditions.

As with all of our 100% bamboo products the raw material is grown and produced to OKEO-TEX Standard 100, an independent testing and certification system for textiles raw, intermediate and end product at all stages of production.

All raw materials used in our bedding collection are organically grown without the use of fertilisers, pesticides & insecticides and meet the OKEO-TEX Standard 100 product class.

Product care

Caring for your bamboo is very important to achieve the long life expectancy these products can offer.

Duvet covers, sheets & pillows cases

  • Use a non-biological detergent that does not contain optical brighteners, bleaching agents or enzymes.
  • Do not use fabric conditioner. There is no need and it can reduce the breathability and absorbency.
  • Cold or cool wash at a maximum of 30 deg C on a gentle cycle.
  • Close duvet cover zips before washing.
  • If washed at high temperatures shrinkage will occur.
  • With modern detergents there is no need to wash at high temperatures, and cool washing saves energy, and money.
  • Do not soak.
  • Do not use bleach – it is harmful to the environment too.
  • Line dry.
  • Can be tumble dried or ironed but only on a cool setting.
  • If excessive heat during washing or tumble drying is used excessive ‘pilling’ may occur.
  • Bamboo, being a 100% natural product, is extremely absorbent and wicks away up to 40% more moisture than cotton does from the skin, therefore it will absorb any face creams or hair products etc. which may result in temporary discolouration which should go when washed.
  • Washing at a higher temperature, with the help of a stain remover is recommended in this case.

What Is Fabric Pilling?

Fabric pilling is the term for loose strands or balls of fibre that form on a piece of fabric. You’ve probably noticed these little bits of fabric on pillows, rugs, and furniture in your home.

Pilling is a common occurrence in most households. It’s not a fabric defect or fault from the manufacturer.

What Causes Fabric Pilling?

When fabric fibres become loose, they move around when we sit or brush up against them. The friction from people rubbing up against the fabric causes loose fibres to twist together into small balls.

Your washing machine also causes friction. This is why you’ll see fabric pills on towels, t-shirts, and sweaters as well as your bedding.

Pilling is completely normal and will go away once the excess loose fibres are gone. It doesn’t affect the durability or functionality of the fabric.
